Registered Nurse, Acute Care for Elders Unit

Baystate Health, western Massachusetts’s premier healthcare provider, and home to Baystate Medical Center (BMC), a Magnet Hospital for Nursing Excellence is looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Daly 6A ACute Care for Elders unit!

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

• Daly 6A- Acute Care for Elders, is a dedicated, growing team, with an engaged Manager, committed to the professional growth and development of her team, and dedicated to patient experience.

• Providing care for the older adult patient population with 39 beds, 16 semi- private rooms, and 5 rooms for end of life care.

• This unit offers participation in nurse driven change projects, great nursing ratios, and optimal support staff.

SCHEDULE:

• Part Time, Day shift (7a-7p) 24 hour per week

• Every other weekend, rotating holidays

• Baystate Medical Center, Springfield MA

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Successfully passed Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and is licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

• Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification required.

• Experience: Minimum 1 year RN experience required.

• Education: AND required; BSN preferred.
