The Director of Brand Media will lead the overarching media strategy, planning, and execution designed to build global brand awareness, shape brand perception, and drive long-term business equity. This leader will sit at the intersection of creative storytelling, data-driven channel strategy, and high-impact media execution, overseeing all paid media initiatives across upper- and mid-funnel touch points.

Reporting to Senior Director, Digital Marketing, this role will directly own US brand media strategy while serving as a strategic global leader. In this dual role, you will drive domestic campaign performance while establishing global frameworks, sharing cross-market learnings, driving cost efficiencies, and ensuring brand cohesion across international markets.

About the Job

Key Responsibilities

• Media Strategy: Architect holistic, multi-channel brand media strategies across traditional (TV, OOH, print, radio) and digital channels (CTV, paid social, online video, digital audio, and high-impact display).
• Agency & Partner Management: Lead relationships with global media agencies, publisher partners, and technology platforms to drive negotiation, maximize investment value, and ensure operational excellence.
• Budget Oversight & Allocation: Manage multi-million dollar annual brand media budgets, optimizing spend dynamic allocations across channels to reach brand targets efficiently.
• Measurement & Attribution: Partner with Marketing Analytics to build robust brand attribution models, Brand Lift Studies (BLS), Media Mix Modeling (MMM), and incrementality frameworks to quantify upper-funnel ROI.
• Integrated Planning: Collaborate closely with Brand Strategy, Creative, Social, PR, and Performance Marketing teams to deliver unified campaign ecosystems that move consumers seamlessly from awareness to conversion.
• Emerging Media Innovation: Identify, pilot, and scale innovative ad formats, emerging platforms, and novel partnerships to keep the brand ahead of market trends.
• Leadership & Talent Development: Mentor and manage a high-performing team, building a culture of media innovation and data rigour.

About You

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience: 8+ years of progressive media strategy and execution experience (in-house brand side or agency lead), with at least 3+ years in a senior leadership role.
• Track Record: Proven success leading large-scale, integrated brand media campaigns with multi million dollar budgets
• Channel Expertise: Deep familiarity with both traditional brand channels (Broadcast TV, Premium OOH) and modern digital brand channels (CTV, Programmatic, Paid Social, Creator/Influencer Media).
• Analytics: Hands-on experience working with Media Mix Models (MMM), Brand Health Tracking, Multi-Touch Attribution (MTA), and A/B testing methodologies.
• Leadership: Exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills, executive presence, and agency-management experience.

This is a hybrid work schedule based in our San Francisco, CA headquarters. You will be expected in office 3 days per week typically Tuesday-Thursday. Note, time in office can vary depending on business needs.

The expected starting salary range for this role is $167,300 - $245,400 per year. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, performance and business needs.
