Campus Service Worker Lead - HSC Facilities %26 Services

• A minimum of six (6) months experience. in the following:
  • Experience in proper commercial restroom cleaning
    procedures, commercial floor maintenance procedures, and commercial carpet cleaning procedures.
  • Experience operating commercial custodial equipment such as walk-behind and riding scrubbers, high-speed buffers, automated carpet cleaners, and power lifts.
  • Experience in the mixing and proper application of commercial strength cleaning products.
  • Previous experience in training others in the operation of commercial cleaning custodial equipment and leadership/supervisory training preferred.
• *Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Must know how to operate powered custodial equipment and how to apply custodial products (cleaners, surface finishes and disinfectants).
• Demonstrated ability to operate powered custodial equipment and train new employees.
• Ability to bend, stoop and carry items as necessary.
• Demonstrated ability to apply custodial products (cleaners, surface finishes and disinfectants).
• Ability to read and write and follow safety instructions.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain proper attendance levels and meet deadlines.
• Ability to motivate wo-workers.
• Proficient in all policies, procedures and protocol related to the custodial department.
• Incumbent must have the ability to operate a computer and accurately enter information.

Physical Demands:

• Good general health and stamina are required.  Physical exertion is required in frequent lifting up to 75 lbs - daily
• Long periods of standing - daily
• Long periods of walking - daily
• Climbing, stooping, bending - daily
• Working from ladders and confined spaces - as required
• Lifting of items weighing up to 75 pounds - as required
• Moving furniture and unloading supplies - daily
