Position Summary:
The Food Runner/Busser position is an integral part of a restaurant kitchen team, especially in busy restaurants. This position plays a crucial role in delivering a seamless dining experience for guests.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate food orders and ensure timely delivery to guests.
- Transport food from the kitchen to the appropriate tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation.
- Verify food orders before delivering them to guests, addressing any discrepancies or special requests.
- Collaborate with kitchen team to prioritize orders and manage multiple food deliveries efficiently.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude, working as part of a team to deliver a seamless dining experience for guests.
- Follow food safety and hygiene protocols, including proper handling and storage of food items
- Clear and reset tables efficiently, ensuring a clean and inviting dining experience for guests.
- Remove used dishes, glassware, and utensils from tables, and transport them to kitchen for cleaning.
- Polish cups and silverware when they come from dish.
- Roll silverware as it is polished during down times.
- Replenish supplies such as napkins, condiments and beverages as needed.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area, including sweeping, wiping down tables, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Empty trash bins and ensure proper disposal of waste in accordance with sanitation guidelines.
- Provide support to the front of house team as needed.
