Job Responsibilities:

Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment — from light-duty to heavy-duty (Class 8) trucks and operating equipment — per OEM specs and electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic diagrams.
Remove and replace defective parts; test repaired equipment to confirm proper function.

Proven experience as a mechanic, including diesel/gas engines and hydraulics.
High school diploma or GED required; welding/fabrication experience a plus.

Ability to lift/transport 50+ lbs and work in varying weather conditions, with strong manual dexterity and hand-eye-foot coordination.
Willing to work flexible hours — days, nights, weekends, and occasional travel — including 10+ hour shifts and 40+ hour weeks.
Must comply with PLP's Substance Abuse Policy and DOT Drug Control Program, including pre-employment and random testing.

Key Competencies:

Honest, dependable, punctual, and self-disciplined, with a strong work ethic.
A safety-first team player who communicates well and performs under time pressure.
