Area Sales Leader

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Hires and trains regional and local sales teams.

• Organizes and oversees the schedules, territories, and performance of regional and local sales teams.

• Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.

• Provides leadership to the sales teams.

• Motivates and encourages sales team to ensure quotas are met.

• Reviews and analyzes sales and operational records and reports; uses data to project sales, determine profitability and targets, and identify potential new markets.

• Identifies and analyzes customer preferences to properly direct sales efforts.

• Generate new opportunities for: Fire Alarm Systems, Security Systems (Access Control, Video Surveillance, Intrusion Detection), Fire Sprinkler Systems, Portable Fire Extinguishers, Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance Services, Monitoring Services, Retrofits and System Upgrades.

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, facility managers, contractors, engineers, property managers, and end users.

• Act as a trusted advisor regarding life safety compliance and fire protection solutions.

• Resolves customer complaints, staffing problems, and other issues that may interfere with efficient sales operations.

• Collaborates with executive leadership to develop sales quotas and strategies.

• Prepares sales budget; monitors and approves expenses.

• Acts as company representative at trade association meetings.

• Perform other duties assigned by management.

Education/Qualification: 

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Business Administration, or related field, OR

• Comparable record of sales leadership experience required.

• At least five years of sales experience required.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills.

• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

• List any applicable education/qualifications.

Other Duties:

• Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Compensation: 

• Base Salary: $80k - $110K + bonus
