We’re hiring reliable, experienced, full-time Unarmed Security Officers! The persons in this position will maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and co-workers by patrolling, monitoring premises, and performing search procedures. Officers will be assisting with directing the traffic of large semi-trailers.

We are hiring immediately for the following shift:

• Weekend Availability Needed - Overnight (11:00PM - 7:00AM)

Hourly wage: $14.15/hour

Primary Responsibilities:

• Monitor for irregular or unusual activity
• Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property
• Guard, patrol, and monitor industrial or commercial premises to prevent safety hazards, theft, violence, or infractions of rules
• Enforce rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and respond to emergency situations requiring security assistance
• Investigate and prepare reports on incidents
• Secure facility and designated areas by monitoring entrances and exits
• Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
• Remain alert and aware of the surroundings
• Possess empathetic abilities in dealing with customers and their questions

Additional Reponsibilities:

Guard Shack:

• Inbounding and outbounding trailers.
• Capable to work without supervision.
• Be able to follow instructions and enforce policy and processes.
• Inputting data in site provided tablet.
• Familiar using iPad OS/Android based software.
• Able to work in a fast-paced evolving environment.
• Able to work under inclement weather.
• Consistently able to report to shift.
• Effective/skilled communicator.
• Professional/respectable character.
• Team player.

Qualifications:

• MUST BE EXPERIENCED IN HIGH VOLUMES OF INBOUNDING AND OUTBOUNDING OF LARGE SEMI-TRAILERS
• Ability to think clearly during crisis or high-stress periods
• Able to multi-task efficiently
• Technically savvy with utilizing site-based hardware and software systems (computers and tablets)
• Must have access to reliable transportation
• Must have valid DCJS Security Guard License.
• Must be a US citizen or a Permanent Resident with 5 years US Residency
• Must be reliable, have a positive attitude, and uphold ethical behavior
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum 1 years of security experience
