We are hiring flexible retail security officers for our site in Chicago, IL. 

Must have a PERC card and 20 hour certificate, must be flexible and have a positive attitude. CCTV and loss prevention experience preferred.

Wage: $19.50/hour

Responsibilities

• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security/safety of premises
• Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property
• Guard, patrol, and monitor industrial or commercial premises to prevent safety hazards, theft, violence, or infractions of rules
• Enforce rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and respond to emergency situations requiring security assistance
• Maintain written records of daily activities for assigned posts and maintain daily activity reports (DARS)
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
• Report irregular, unusual, unsafe, and/or illegal activity immediately
• Assist with site evacuations in the event of a fire or other emergencies
• Escort on foot or by motor vehicle to transport individuals to specified locations or to provide personal protection or to escort persons off customer property
• Write detailed narrative reports and maintain daily activity reports (DARs)
• Provide assistance to customers, employees and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
• Monitor for irregular or unusual activity
• Secure facility and designated areas
• Enforce client, facility and company policies and procedures
• Investigate and prepare reports on incidents
• Perform retail theft apprehensions and document theft incidents
• Assist law enforcement and other public safety officials as needed

Qualifications:

Must have or be able to:

• Willing to work as a loss prevention officer
• Open/ flexible schedule
• Able to work a full time schedule/no part-time
• Work the weekends (Fri, Sat and Sun.)
• Work on 1 of their off days if needed.
• Willing to due overtime.
• Team player
• Positive attitude
• Punctual
• Good work ethic
• Good Computer skills
• Minimum  3 years of security experience
• Schedule 4 days work/3 days off, this is a full time schedule, 40 hours a week.
• Work long shifts, 10 to 12 hours.
• 20 hour certificate
• Active PERC card

Nice to have:

• Loss Prevention experience
• CCTV experience
• Experience saving CCTV camera footage
• Experience leading officers/supervisor experience
