Collision Center Job Description for Disassembly/Reassembly Tech

Core Responsibilities:

• Mark information on the windshield including: Estimators Name, Insurance co/Customer pay, date in, and due date.
• Mark the associated parts cart # on the windshield
• Identify damage using map key
• Mark misaligned sheet metal and/or doors and hoods that don’t function
• Check dash lights and make note
• Disassemble damage.  Pay close attention to parts and repairs that are not on the original estimate.
• Disassemble the vehicle in a sequence.  Example:   Front to Back
• Load clip tray starting from the left rear in order of disassemble
• Load transition point with damaged parts 
• Make note of supplement parts and operation during tear down.
• Point out any damage to Blueprinter
• Finalize and print clip sheet
• Clip sheet goes in the file.
• File and supplement sheet needs to be turned in to the Blueprinter
• Reverse disassembly process for Reassembly 

Job Requirements 

- High school diploma or equivalent required (technical degree preferred) 

- Effective communication skills 

- Ability to learn new technology and procedures  

- Ability to work in a team environment 

- Attention to detail  

- Valid state driver’s license & ability to be insured through RMC liability insurance required  

Physical Demands  

- Operate hand tools and machinery  

- Position body to perform vehicle maintenance
