LEADMAN PLUMBING

Summary:

The Leadman Plumbing position is a critical leadership role within the construction industry, responsible for overseeing and coordinating plumbing activities on-site to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves managing a team of plumbers, providing technical guidance, and ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and regulations. The Leadman will collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, and other trades to maintain project timelines and resolve any plumbing-related issues that arise. A key outcome of this role is to deliver plumbing systems that meet design specifications and client expectations while optimizing resource use and minimizing downtime. Ultimately, the Leadman Plumbing ensures that all plumbing installations contribute to the overall success and safety of the construction project.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid plumbing license or certification as required by state regulations.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial or residential plumbing.
• Proven experience in a supervisory or lead role within a construction environment.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, safety standards, and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Completion of an apprenticeship program in plumbing.
• Experienced with new construction project management 
• OSHA 30-hour safety certification or equivalent.
• Strong leadership training or certifications.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of plumbing crews on construction sites to ensure work is performed safely and efficiently.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan plumbing installations and modifications.
• Provide technical guidance and training to team members to maintain high workmanship standards.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal plumbing codes and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers and other trades to schedule work and resolve any on-site issues promptly.
• Inspect completed work to verify quality and adherence to project requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of labor, materials, and equipment used on the job.
• Identify potential risks or delays and implement corrective actions to keep the project on track.

Skills:

The Leadman Plumbing role requires strong technical skills to interpret complex blueprints and ensure plumbing systems are installed correctly and safely.
