    • Perform and interpret X-rays in collaboration with radiology staff.
    • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans, including splinting, bracing, casting, wound care, and pain management.
    • Order and interpret diagnostic imaging and lab tests as needed for accurate diagnosis and treatment.
  2. Procedures & Hands-On Patient Care
    • Perform in-office procedures such as joint aspirations, joint and soft tissue injections, fracture reductions, wound repairs, and laceration suturing.
    • Administer medications, injections, and IV therapies as appropriate for orthopedic urgent care patients.
    • Apply and remove splints, braces, and orthopedic devices to support injury stabilization and recovery.
  3. Patient Education & Follow-Up Coordination
    • Clearly explain injuries, treatment plans, and at-home care instructions to patients and their families.
    • Provide guidance on rehabilitation, physical therapy, post-injury activity restrictions, and pain management.
    • Coordinate referrals to orthopedic specialists, physical therapy, or surgical consultations as needed for ongoing care.
  4. Collaboration & Communication
    • Work alongside physicians, X-ray technicians, medical assistants, and clinic staff to ensure efficient patient flow and optimal care.
    • Maintain open communication with supervising physicians, particularly for complex cases requiring advanced interventions.
    • Partner with front office and scheduling teams to facilitate same-day or follow-up appointments as necessary.
  5. Documentation & Compliance
    • Maintain accurate and thorough patient records in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
    • Complete required forms such as FMLA, work/school excuses, and return-to-sport clearances.
    • Adhere to infection control, safety, and compliance regulations to ensure patient and staff well-being.
