As a Survey Group Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing surveying operations, lead field and technical teams, manage projects and client relationships, and drive business development and revenue growth. Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of the surveying and geomatics group, including field operations, office personnel, and technical staff supporting public and private sector land improvement projects.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, industry professionals, and organizational stakeholders to support client satisfaction and business growth.
• Lead, organize, and supervise survey crews, technicians, and supporting staff to ensure efficient operations and high-quality project delivery.
• Manage contracts and oversee projects from planning through completion, including coordinating assignments, allocating resources, and ensuring project deadlines are met.
• Develop and implement strategic initiatives to drive revenue growth, expand market presence, and strengthen the group's competitive position.
• Identify new business opportunities and develop client pursuit strategies to secure projects and expand existing client relationships.
• Plan, schedule, and assign workloads to optimize staffing resources, maintain productivity, and meet project deadlines.
• Lead the planning and execution of complex surveying projects, developing innovative solutions to address unique technical challenges and project requirements.
• Assist in the preparation, review, and quality control of survey deliverables to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
• Prepare, review, and approve proposals for prospective projects, including project scope, staffing needs, and estimated costs.
• Prepare, review, and approve monthly client billings to ensure accuracy and timely processing.
• Review monthly financial statements to monitor group performance, project profitability, revenue, and expenses.
• Review and approve employee timesheets to ensure accurate reporting of hours worked and appropriate project allocation.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental objectives and overall business operations.

Qualifications:

• Licensure as a Professional Land Surveyor in South Carolina, required.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in surveying management in residential/commercial development preferred.
• Candidate will be expected to possess strong self-motivational and organizational skills, experience with survey computations and platting using Trimble Business Center, AutoCAD Civil 3D, as well as field experience with Trimble Survey field equipment.
• Computer skills involve survey data management using Trimble or Android devices.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Google Earth a plus. Thorough working knowledge of GPS required.
• Candidate must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company’s driving (MVR) policy.
