Contract Customer Service Representative

JOB TITLE:  CONTRACT CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

DEPARTMENT: MASS TORT

REPORTS TO: BONNIE RICKERT, PARTNER

FLSA STATUS: CONTRACT: FULL-TIME, 4 WEEKS

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Communicate regularly with clients, medical providers, court personnel, and opposing counsel via phone and email.
• Provide heavy phone support with strong, professional communication and customer service skills.
• Maintain customer privacy and data security.
• Assist with case action planning to ensure compliance with federal and state court deadlines.
• Utilize case management software to manage matters and review dashboards and reports to understand docket status at both macro and micro levels.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure strict adherence to firm policies and procedures.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ATTRIBUTES:

• Significant customer service experience 
• Typing - 40+ wpm 
• Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment 
• Extremely organized 
• Quick learner/intuitive 
• Ethically responsible with an understanding of the legal and ethical obligations of the profession 
• Capable of adhering to firm policies and procedures 

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: 

• High School Graduate/ GED
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with an ability to become familiar with firm-specific programs and software. 
• Mac Proficient, including macOS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY & MISCELLANEOUS:

• Ability to work outside standard business hours as needed
• Ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds
• Ability to travel periodically to other firm offices and locations as required
