Group Exercise Instructor

As a Group Exercise Instructor, you will:

• Lead energizing, fun, safe, and educational group exercise classes.
• Builds effective, authentic relationships with members; helps members and program participants connect with each other and the YMCA.
• Observes and adjusts approach to support all participants’ capabilities, physical conditions, health, and culture.
• Instructors must record accurate class attendance.
• Ensure the proper equipment is available.
• Record accurate class attendance.

ALL FORMATS CONSIDERED.

Qualifications:

• Current Group Fitness Certification from a nationally recognized organization
• Minimum 1-year consistent teaching experience is preferred.
• Ability to teach 2 or more class formats is desired.
• Certifications subject to annual audit.  
• CPR/AED, first-aid certification
