Project Manager

Description

Do you thrive under pressure? Are you a master at keeping a dozen balls in the air at once?

Do you have an impatient streak — a need to get things checked off and move forward? Can you work independently within a structured framework while still defining how things get done? Are you looking for the next big challenge in your career? If you're in or around Birmingham, we have the opportunity for you.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Culton Companies is a leading designer and manufacturer of award-winning trade show exhibits and branded commercial interiors — and we're growing fast. Our Method-1 division partners with clients across the Southeast to design, fabricate, and install incredible branded spaces. Look up our website and click through our gallery. Seriously. Cool. Stuff.

We're looking for a Project Manager to join the Method-1 team. You'll be assigned projects after the design and sales process and take ownership of delivering them — on time, on budget, and with clients who can't wait to work with us again. Repeat business is our number one goal, and our PMs are the reason it happens.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Own projects from hand-off through final installation — scheduling, coordinating, and driving every phase to completion
• Lead production meetings and establish all timelines, milestones, and action items across Sales, Design, and Production
• Serve as the primary communication link between clients, account reps, and our internal production teams
• Review approval plans, construction documents, graphic proofs, and material take-offs for accuracy
• Verify that all materials are correctly sourced, ordered, and tracked through production
• Create and maintain Action Lists, Work Orders, and Punch Lists that keep the shop moving and on schedule
• Conduct quality control checks on all project components and coordinate client and internal inspections
• Oversee packing, shipping, and installation logistics for every project you manage
• Travel to project sites as needed to verify conditions and coordinate with clients or general contractors
• Keep all project data, tasks, and key dates current in our project management software

WHAT YOU BRING

Required:

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in various stages simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills — you can hold your own with clients, vendors, and internal teams alike
• Sharp attention to detail and a natural instinct for finding and solving problems before they become issues
• Comfortable working independently within structured systems while defining your own path to get things done
• Proficiency with standard office and project management software

Bonus Points For:

• Background in construction, fabrication, interior design, or branded environments
• Experience with project management platforms and scheduling tools
• A client-service mindset — you genuinely care about delivering a great experience, not just a finished product

SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION

• Full-time, salaried position — Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (or thereabouts — we're results-driven)
• Competitive salary based on experience and potential
• Based at our Trussville, Alabama headquarters facility
• Travel to project sites as required

DON'T SWEAT THE LEARNING CURVE

If the responsibilities list felt long — that's OK. We have a thorough onboarding process and we'll work with you at your own pace to make sure you know everything you need to know. And no one here works alone — someone has always got your back.

THE PERKS

We work hard and we play hard — here's what comes with the job:

  Health, Dental & Vision

  401K Retirement Plan

  Paid Parental Leave

  PTO + 7 Paid Holidays

  AFLAC & Liberty National

  FSA Plan

  Online Payroll Access

  Quarterly Employee Events
