Digi Mkt Strat

Digital Marketing Strategist

Gregory Welteroth Advertising (GWA) is seeking an experienced Digital Marketing Strategist to join our team.

We’re looking for a strategic thinker who understands how the pieces of digital marketing work together—and knows how to turn business goals, audience insights, data, and emerging opportunities into smart, measurable marketing strategies.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys looking beyond individual campaigns and channels to see the bigger picture. The Digital Marketing Strategist will collaborate with account leadership, media, creative, analytics, and other internal teams to develop integrated digital strategies that drive meaningful results for our clients.

What You'll Do

• Develop comprehensive digital marketing strategies aligned with client business objectives, audiences, and performance goals.
• Evaluate the digital landscape and recommend the right mix of channels, platforms, tactics, and technologies.
• Translate client goals into clear, actionable digital plans and campaign strategies.
• Partner with paid media, analytics, creative, account management, and other teams to bring strategies to life.
• Analyze campaign and audience performance to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for optimization.
• Use data and insights to make recommendations—not simply report what happened.
• Help establish KPIs, measurement strategies, and performance expectations.
• Identify opportunities to improve customer journeys, engagement, lead generation, conversion, and overall digital performance.
• Stay current on developments in paid media, search, social, AI, marketing technology, audience targeting, privacy, and emerging digital platforms.
• Participate in client meetings and clearly communicate digital strategies, recommendations, and results.
• Support new business opportunities by contributing strategic thinking, research, and digital recommendations.
• Challenge existing approaches when the data or marketplace suggests there may be a better way.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, digital strategy, performance marketing, or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of paid search, paid social, display/programmatic, SEO, websites, email/CRM, analytics, and conversion strategy.
• Experience developing integrated digital strategies across multiple channels.
• Ability to interpret data and translate it into practical business and marketing recommendations.
• Strong understanding of digital measurement, KPIs, attribution, and campaign performance.
• Experience working with platforms such as Google Ads, Google Analytics, Meta, LinkedIn, marketing automation/CRM platforms, and related digital tools.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
• Comfortable collaborating across disciplines rather than working within a single digital specialty.
• Agency experience is strongly preferred.

What Will Make You Stand Out

We're especially interested in candidates who are naturally curious. You ask why, dig into the data, follow changes in consumer behavior and technology, and look for opportunities others may miss.

Experience using AI and emerging technologies to improve marketing strategy, research, audience insights, campaign performance, or workflow efficiency is a plus.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who can connect strategy, data, creativity, and execution—and help our clients make smarter digital marketing decisions.
