About Nexus Neurorecovery Center – Conroe

Situated on a peaceful, wooded 26-acre campus, Nexus Neurorecovery Center – Conroe offers the Rise Program, a comprehensive neurological rehabilitation program for adults recovering from severe traumatic brain injury (TBI), stroke, spinal cord injury, and other neurological diagnoses.

This campus is also home to the Life Care Program, which provides long-term residential care for individuals who have sustained serious, life-altering injuries and require ongoing clinical and behavioral support. At Nexus Neurorecovery Center, we are committed to helping each individual rebuild independence, purpose, and quality of life—because at Nexus, we’re mending minds.

Position Summary

The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) plays an important role in helping patients regain strength, mobility, and independence following neurological injury or complex medical illness. Working under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, the PTA provides hands-on therapy to support functional movement, balance, and daily activity skills while helping patients make meaningful progress toward rehabilitation goals.

As part of an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team, the PTA works with patients who may have cognitive, neurological, behavioral, or medically complex conditions in a structured therapeutic environment.

This role requires consistency, strong attention to detail, and the ability to remain patient, adaptable, and team-focused while supporting individuals through challenging but rewarding recovery journeys.
