Director of Sales

This is a fully in-person role based at our Overland Park, Kansas office and requires frequent travel, with the heaviest months being 30-50% travel for targeted sales meetings. 

Job Description

As the Director of Sales, you are overseeing our dedicated sales team. This role is critical to driving predictable revenue growth through effective sales coaching, process refinement, and performance management. The Director will own revenue targets, manage a growing team of sales representatives, and play an integral role in shaping our go-to-market strategy for this key business segment.

Job Expectations

• Lead and manage the sales team with responsibility for hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing performance coaching.
• Own and drive achievement of monthly and quarterly sales targets, with full accountability for revenue performance in this segment.
• Build a repeatable sales process tailored to buyers, enabling reps to efficiently identify, nurture, and close qualified opportunities.
• Serve as a resource and deal coach throughout the sales cycle, providing strategic support on pricing, positioning, and closing tactics.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Marketing, and Client Strategy teams to align sales messaging and offerings with GLI’s evolving product roadmap.
• Monitor key sales metrics and pipeline health; leverage CRM data and dashboards to proactively identify risks and opportunities.
• Contribute to a performance-driven culture by setting clear expectations, delivering regular feedback, and addressing performance gaps.
• Partner with senior sales leadership to refine the overall team structure, balancing efforts between SMB and Enterprise sales initiatives.

Requirements

Job Qualifications

• 5+ years of B2B sales experience, including 2+ years of sales leadership experience.
• Proven ability to coach and scale early-stage sales teams.
• Demonstrated success in building sales processes, developing reps, and exceeding revenue targets.
• Strong understanding of consultative selling and ability to tailor approach to unique client needs.
• Highly collaborative, with experience working cross-functionally to drive go-to-market alignment.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in digital marketing or SaaS preferred.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Mass Communications or another related field preferred .
• 2+ years of professional experience selling in the digital marketing space.
• 5+ years in the sales profession.
• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in Sales.

• The role includes base salary plus commissions, along with a full benefits package.
