Position Summary

Rekor is seeking a motivated, hands-on Sales Account Manager to support the growth of our Scout ALPR solution across Public Safety and Commercial markets. Reporting to the Executive Vice President, this role will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and driving opportunities through the sales cycle from initial outreach through close.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

• Drive new customer acquisition and revenue growth for Rekor Scout across Public Safety and Commercial markets.

• Prospect and develop new business opportunities through outbound outreach, inbound leads, referrals, events, and other sales activities.

• Manage opportunities throughout the sales cycle, including initial outreach, discovery, product demonstrations, proposals, follow-up, negotiation, and close.

• Conduct customer discovery to understand operational needs and identify appropriate Scout solutions and use cases.

• Deliver product presentations and demonstrations to prospective customers.

• Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects and customers to move opportunities forward.

• Meet established sales activity, pipeline, and revenue goals.

Account Management & Customer Growth

• Manage relationships with assigned customers and prospects, serving as a primary point of contact throughout the sales process.

• Build relationships with stakeholders across law enforcement agencies, municipalities, commercial organizations, and other target customers.

• Identify opportunities to expand Scout deployments and solutions within existing customer accounts.

• Maintain regular customer engagement to understand evolving needs and identify additional sales opportunities.

• Support customer retention and renewals by maintaining strong relationships and ensuring customer needs are communicated internally.

• Coordinate with internal teams to support a smooth transition from sale through implementation.

Sales Team Support & Coordination

• Work closely with inside sales and other customer-facing team members to develop and advance opportunities.

• Provide guidance and support to junior sales team members when appropriate.

• Help coordinate sales activities and customer follow-up across assigned accounts and opportunities.

• Share customer feedback, competitive information, and market insights with leadership.

• Represent Rekor at customer meetings, demonstrations, conferences, trade shows, and other industry events as needed.

Ideal Profile

• 3+ years of sales, business development, or account management experience, preferably within technology or a related industry.

• Experience in inside sales with demonstrated readiness to take ownership of accounts and the full sales cycle is strongly valued.

• Experience selling into public safety, law enforcement, government, commercial, transportation, SaaS, or related markets is preferred.

• Experience with ALPR, video surveillance, physical security, or public safety technology is a plus.

• Strong prospecting, relationship-building, presentation, and follow-up skills.

• Comfortable conducting customer discovery conversations and product demonstrations.

• Ability to manage multiple customer relationships and sales opportunities simultaneously.

• Self-motivated with a strong desire to develop business and achieve sales goals.

• Comfortable working independently while collaborating with sales and operational teams.

• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

Location & Travel

• Preferred location: Maryland/DC/Virginia metro area with hybrid flexibility.
