Job Summary

The Account Executive, Professional & Collegiate Accounts is responsible for growing Baden Sports’ custom and licensed business across four key channels: adidas / Major League Soccer (MLS) club programs, NBA team programs, college bookstores, and amusement parks. This role owns the full sales cycle within these channels – prospecting and outreach, proposal development, closing, and ongoing account service – and is accountable for building a pipeline that supports aggressive first-year revenue growth.

Essential Job Functions 

• Manage and grow sales within the adidas/MLS Clubs, NBA teams, college bookstores, and amusement parks channels.
• Prospect and generate new business through outbound outreach, referrals, trade shows, and industry relationships. 
• Develop and present proposals, pricing, and custom product solutions tailored to each account’s needs.
• Own the full sales cycle from initial contact through close, including negotiations and contract/order finalization.
• Provide ongoing account service post-sale, including order management, issue resolution, and relationship maintenance to drive repeat and expanded business.
• Maintain accurate pipeline, forecast, and account activity records (CRM/Business Central) and report progress to the Senior Manager, Retail Sales. 
• Collaborate with Product, Operations, and Customer Service Teams to ensure on-time delivery and a strong customer experience.
• Stay current on category trends, competitor activity, and licensing/program requirements relevant to each channel.

Requirements

• 2+ years of outside sales, account management, or business development experience; sporting goods, licensed products, or wholesale/B2B experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to prospect, build a pipeline, and close new business independently.
• Strong relationship-management and customer service skills.
• Comfortable working with CRM and sales-tracking tools; Business Central and/or Power BI experience a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel as needed to support accounts and industry events.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
