Make a Difference Every Day

What if your career could give you the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in someone's life every day?

At Misericordia, Nursing Supervisors do much more than oversee a shift. You demonstrate leadership, problem-solving, and effective communication skills to promote the ongoing growth and development of your team, while ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of residents in an atmosphere that promotes quality, respect, and dignity.

As a Nursing Supervisor, you will be the first line of response to daily operational issues, monitor work processes, and support the implementation of division initiatives. In partnership with the Director of Nursing (DON) and Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), you will manage and develop staff nurses through real-time feedback and coordinated training, and collaborate with the DON, ADON, and Vice President of Clinical Services to provide exceptional clinical, physical, and emotional health services for our residents.

Supervisory and leadership experience is preferred.

About Misericordia

Misericordia offers a community of care that maximizes potential for persons with mild to profound developmental disabilities, many of whom are also physically challenged. By serving society's most vulnerable citizens, Misericordia also serves the families who want the best for them yet cannot provide it at home.

Through a spectrum of residential options on its 37-acre Chicago campus and in the community, and with a wide variety of programs, Misericordia currently serves more than 600 children and adults residentially, from diverse racial, religious, and socio-economic backgrounds. Twenty percent of our residents either come from families in poverty or have no families and are wards of the State.

At Misericordia, every member of our team plays an important role in creating a community where residents can thrive.

Misericordia is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE) according to Title 44, Ill. Administrative Code, and Subpart C Section 750.150.
