Part-Time Receptionist

Position Summary

The Receptionist is the welcoming face and voice of Orange EV each weekday morning, greeting visitors, answering and directing calls, and keeping the front office running smoothly. This part-time role covers Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and combines front-desk hospitality with light administrative support for the office. It's a great fit for someone dependable, organized, and personable who enjoys being the go-to person for whatever comes through the door.

Position Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome visitors, vendors, candidates, and guests in a professional, friendly manner; manage visitor sign-in and badging, and notify the appropriate employee of arrivals.
• Answer, screen, and route incoming phone calls to the correct department or individual, and take accurate messages when needed.
• Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages, and coordinate outgoing mail and shipments.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area, lobby, and shared conference rooms.
• Order and maintain front-office, breakroom, and general office supplies within budget.
• Provide administrative support to office operations as needed, such as data entry, filing, scheduling, and correspondence.
• Coordinate conference room scheduling and assist with basic meeting setup when requested.
• Support new-hire and visitor badge or building access administration.
• Maintain accurate visitor logs and follow site safety and security sign-in procedures.
• Assist with special projects, company events, or other administrative tasks as assigned.

Position Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior experience in a receptionist, front desk, administrative, or customer service role preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional, friendly demeanor.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general office equipment (multi-line phone systems, printers/copiers).
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a busy front-office environment.
• Ability to reliably work the scheduled hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion with sensitive information.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working the front desk of a manufacturing, corporate, or industrial office.
• Experience with visitor management or building access/badging systems.
• Prior exposure to HR or office administration support tasks.

Physical Requirements & Work Enviornment

• Primarily a seated, front-desk role in an office environment, with regular use of a phone, computer, and office equipment.
• Ability to lift/move up to 20 lbs occasionally (e.g., mail, packages, office supplies).
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while covering the front desk.
