Spend a few hours engaged with arts & crafts, science projects, non-competitive games and sports, and providing homework assistance.
This program runs Monday through Friday from 2:30pm to 6pm, and follows the New Canaan Public School calendar.
Additional opportunities for FULL DAY shifts during school closings as part of the New Canaan YMCA's Vacation Camp!
Candidates should:
- be 16 years of age or older.
- Relate well to children of this age group.
- Experience in babysitting/camp counseling.
- Warm and friendly personality and sensitive to the needs of others
Principal Activities include:
- Provide a safe, nurturing and healthy environment for the children in their care.
- Supervise the children, classroom, and activities to create a fun and inviting space.
- Monitor check in/check out information and contact information in case parent/guardian must be reached.
- Be a role model by demonstrating the YMCA Four Core Values: Honesty, Resptect, Caring and Responsibility
Available shifts are:
- Monday-Friday 2:30pm - 6:00pm
