Patient Access Representative

Touchstone Medical Imaging is seeking Patient Access Representatives for our location in Lewisville, TX.

POSITION SUMMARY: 

Provide courteous assistance to patients and physician offices while scheduling and registering patients for diagnostic imaging procedures. Responsible for collecting accurate demographic, insurance, and all other billing information, scheduling appointments in person order entry and performing any other duties necessary to provide efficient, timely services to the patients, their families and providers. 

• Lewisville, TX
• Flexibility to Work From Home a few days a week after a 4-6 month training period
• Must be flexible to work between the hours of 7am - 7:30pm CST M-F and 9am-1pm CST on Saturday

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Schedules/confirms appointments and enters appointment date and time into computerized
• Scheduling application.
• Explains exams/procedures, preparation instructions and location directions to patients and provider office staff.
• Contacts referring provider offices to obtain exam orders if necessary.
• Answers telephone and either responds to inquiry or directs caller to appropriate personnel.
• Consistently maintains composure during all calls, escalating to leads when warranted
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/Licensing/Certification: 

• High school diploma or equivalent medical scheduling or customer service experience

 Experience (years and type):     

• Bilingual is a plus!
• 1-3+ years related health care scheduling for multiple locations, medical terminology, physician billing and/or medical reception/medical office experience preferred.
• Call center or phone experience preferred.
• Previous customer service background required.
• Experience working with a computerized scheduling system preferred.
