Job: Pipe Fitting & Welding Lead
Reports to: Production Manager
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Fit and weld piping systems to spec, sequence, and schedule.
- Oversee accurate layout, support install, and final spool readiness.
- Own the full spool lifecycle—material prep, fitting, welding, and QC readiness.
- Balance throughput and craftsmanship—your team reflects your standard.
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead fabrication of spool assemblies and system piping.
- Ensure code compliance (ASME, AWS) and proper documentation.
- Track fitting/welding progress per module schedule.
Expectations:
- Ownership: Treat pipe scope as critical infrastructure—quality and function are non-negotiable.
- Execution: Balance speed and quality. Ensure joints are clean, spaced, and properly supported.
- Leadership: Train new fitters/welders and uphold discipline in work areas.
- Problem Solving: Flag design issues or missing BOM early and escalate quickly.
