ROLE DESCRIPTION

Shuttle Driver / Campus-Facility Support

ROLE SUMMARY

This role is primarily a Shuttle Driver position at Valor Christian High School during all school days for both pick-up and drop-off.  The driver is responsible for safely transporting students on established routes while following all traffic laws and school transportation policies. This role includes conducting vehicle inspections, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring a safe, orderly, and respectful environment for passengers. The driver represents the school positively, communicates effectively with students, families, and staff, and responds calmly to emergencies or unexpected situations. Additional responsibilities include keeping fleet vehicles clean and fueled, reporting mechanical or safety concerns, supporting maintenance needs, tracking route and ridership information, and administering basic first aid when necessary.   Additional duties when school is not in session will vary around campus support primarily intended to increase the Facility Department's ability to support work order requests, routine maintenance, campus support and preparation, and improvement projects. The employee should be able to work independently on basic assigned tasks while also serving as a helper to the Facility Manager and Facility Technicians on more involved projects.

Valor Christian High School is a decidedly Christian, college preparatory school whose core values honor a biblical foundation. Valor employees are faith-filled, joyful believers who are active in a local, Christian church whose beliefs are in alignment with the school’s Statement of Beliefs. They are both called and committed to the school’s vision and mission and seamlessly integrate faith into their daily work. You will be most successful if you have a true servant’s heart, a teachable spirit, a love for the Lord Jesus Christ, and a commitment to the school’s beliefs and values.
