New File Clerk

The Law Offices of Hanna, Brophy, MacLean, McAleer & Jensen, LLP was established over 80 years ago and provides Workers' Compensation Defense legal services to employers and insurance companies throughout California. The NFD Office Clerk position provides administrative support to the New File Department by accurately identifying, organizing, and sorting new file documents into the appropriate sections. The position is responsible for ensuring documents are uploaded accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner while maintaining attention to detail and organization.

Responsibilities 

• Independently manage daily tasks and prioritize urgent requests with little to no supervision.
• Accurately identify, sort, and organize large volumes of workers’ compensation documents electronically using various programs, including Adobe, Outlook, Excel, and other office applications.
• Convert various document types into PDF format while maintaining accuracy and document quality.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
• Collaborates effectively with team members and maintains positive working relationships to support department goals.

Skills 

• Able to prioritize large number of tasks. 
• Answering various emails from clients and attorneys/staff regarding questions and concerns. 
• Be able to type up to 55 wpm accurately. 
• Able to pay close attention to detail with minimal mistakes. 
• Team player who can switch tasks when needed or asked. 
• Working knowledge of office devices and processes 
• Work independently
• High school diploma

Job Type: Full-Time at 37.5 hours per week
