Maintenance Technician - Weekend Shift

Description

Are you an experienced maintenance professional who enjoys working independently, solving mechanical and electrical issues, and keeping manufacturing equipment running at peak performance? Twin City Die Castings is seeking a skilled Weekend Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing operations during our weekend production schedule.

This role is ideal for a self-directed technician who can confidently troubleshoot and resolve issues independently while knowing when to escalate concerns and seek additional support. Leadership experience or the ability to provide guidance to others is highly preferred. 

Schedule & Compensation

• Weekend Shift: Friday - Sunday, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• Base Pay: $22.00 - $35.00 per hour, depending on experience and skill level
• Weekend Shift Differential: Additional $2.00 per hour
• Opportunity for overtime as business needs require

What You'll Do

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime.
• Repair or replace defective equipment components using hand and power tools.
• Perform preventive maintenance activities to ensure safe and reliable equipment operation.
• Inspect drives, motors, belts, pumps, conveyors, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-related issues.
• Assemble, install, and repair machinery, wiring, electrical systems, and facility equipment.
• Test and inspect equipment to identify root causes of failures and implement corrective actions.
• Fabricate machine guards and perform basic machining and welding work as needed.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
• Work with outside contractors and vendors when required.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all environmental, health, and safety requirements.
• Provide guidance and support to less experienced maintenance personnel when needed. 

Requirements

What We're Looking For

• 2-4 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Strong skills in mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical troubleshooting, and equipment repair.
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting preferred.
• Welding and machining experience is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and sound decision-making ability.
• Comfortable working independently with limited supervision.
• Demonstrated leadership skills or experience leading projects, coordinating repairs, or mentoring others preferred.
• Ability to recognize situations requiring additional support and effectively communicate with management and maintenance resources.
