Dough Production

Overview

Norsland Lefse is hiring a Dough Production team member to prepare dough for our lefse production line. This is an active, hands-on role for someone who enjoys physical work, follows a consistent process, and keeps a steady pace. 

Your work keeps the rest of the production team moving. You’ll prepare batches throughout the day so the team has the dough it needs to meet production goals while maintaining product quality. No previous dough-making or equipment operation experience is required—we’ll train you. 

What you’ll do 

• Prepare lefse dough using accurately measured ingredients and established procedures. 

• Operate dough-making equipment safely after training. 

• Plan and pace your batches to keep dough available for the production line. 

• Check dough consistency and promptly report quality concerns or production delays. 

• Lift and move ingredients and dough throughout your shift. 

• Assist with inventory management by tracking raw materials and finished goods
• Keep your work area and equipment clean and organized, including completing daily cleanup. 
  
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures. 

• Communicate with teammates and your supervisor to meet daily production goals. 

• Help with other production tasks as needed. 

What we’re looking for 

• Dependable attendance and readiness to work at your scheduled start time. 

• Ability to stay focused and maintain a steady, efficient pace throughout the day. 

• Attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately. 

• Ability to work independently after training while coordinating with the production team. 

• Willingness to learn, take feedback, and improve. 

• Previous food production, bakery, or manufacturing experience is helpful but not required. 

Physical requirements 

This position involves regular lifting and repetitive physical work. Essential duties include: 

• Lifting and moving approximately 20 pounds repeatedly and up to 50 pounds periodically. 

• Standing for extended periods, up to eight hours per day. 

• Repeated bending, reaching, and handling ingredients and dough.

Schedule 

Weekday daytime production shifts, with a typical start time of 7:00 a.m. Specific hours and days will be discussed during the hiring process.
