Your Impact:

Are you someone who enjoys travel, hands-on field work, and working with innovative technology? We're looking for a motivated 3D Scanning Survey Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you'll travel to a variety of facilities and project sites, using advanced laser scanning and aerial mapping technology to capture accurate building data that supports our clients' projects across multiple industries.

The ideal candidate has experience in construction, surveying, building scanning, or building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.), and enjoys solving problems. This role offers a unique blend of fieldwork, technology, teamwork, and professional growth while making a direct impact on project success. This position requires a valid driver’s license and candidates must be at least 21 years old. Extensive weekday travel, including overnight stays is required. This position reports to the Portersville, PA office.

3D Scanning Surveyor Responsibilities

• Travel through the region to perform 3D laser scan surveys and aerial mapping of buildings and facilities. 
• Capture accurate building and site data using industry leading technology
• Coordinate with project teams, project managers, and clients to ensure successful project execution
• Manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines and quality standards
• Process and organize field data in accordance with client requirements and company procedures
• Support project deliverables through CAD drafting, reporting, and related documentation
• Contribute ideas that improve workflows, processes, and overall team effectiveness
• Participate in team meetings, training opportunities, and company initiatives
• Play an active role in supporting the continued growth and success of the company

Here’s What You Need

• 2+ years experience in construction, surveying, facilities, MEP, architecture, engineering, or related fieldwork
  • No experience surveying? We provide training for the right candidate who brings strong construction knowledge, technical aptitude, and a willingness to learn
• General understanding of building construction methods and systems
• Familiarity with architectural components and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently while remaining a collaborative team member
• Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies, drafting techniques, regulations, and industry standards
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 80% during the workweek, including overnight stays.

• Valid driver's license and minimum age of 21
• Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying environmental conditions
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairways and access rooftops while carrying equipment
  • Ability to sit stand, drive and travel by commercial aircraft for extended periods
  • Specific visual abilities including near, distance and peripheral vision, and depth perception.
