Description

Bailey sold its first forklift in 1949. Since then Bailey has been a family-owned and operated business dedicated to selling, leasing, renting, servicing, and providing parts for forklift trucks throughout the southeast.

Apprentice Technicians are responsible for performing planned maintenance(P.M.) service (change oil, filters, inspections etc.) and assisting in scheduling maintenance work based on customer needs and requirements. Apprentices are dedicated to customer satisfaction, responding in a timely, polite and professional manner. Apprentice Technician assignments may vary by make and model of lift truck, complexity of the work to be performed, and time and tools required to complete the work on a daily basis. One day may require planned maintenance on multiple trucks at one location, and the next day require planned maintenance work on trucks at multiple locations. Some jobs may require lifting up to 50 pounds with or without an accommodation. An Apprentice's work typically includes completing full inspections to check all components, especially all safety related items. Apprentices will either fix the problem or make customers aware of the problem, recommending repairs and offering quotes for the needed repairs, such as battery replacement, and then completing any necessary paperwork.
