The Senior Accountant contributes to the organization's funding strategy and long-term financial security. This position collaborates with the executive management team to analyze department finances and develop budgets that keep the company's costs down. Additionally, this role analyzes market trends and various business opportunities from a financial perspective. 

Essential Functions:

•  Prepare business activity reports, financial statements, and forecasts. 
•  Make sure financial, and legal requirements are met 
•  Developing financial reporting systems 
•  Find ways to reduce or maintain costs by studying financial reports and business processes. 
•  Analyze market trends to discover business opportunities and maximize profits. 

Requirements

Skills:

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all staff segments, including the Agency leadership team
• Proven strategic planning experience at the management level
• Knowledge of office machines preferred
• Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Demonstrated creative and critical thinking skills
• Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong communication and presentation skills

Education:

• Required bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field required (MBA preferred
• Seven years' experience in a financial management position 
• Preferred health care experience.
