Position Title: Marine Technician (Junior)

Job Location: Primarily Overseas (75–80%); CONUS periods in Baltimore, MD

Job Type: Full Time, Non-Exempt

Pay Range:  $21.88 - $32.45

Position Description:
As a Junior Marine Technician, you will support the readiness and reliability of unmanned surface vessels and related maritime platforms supporting fleet operations, exercises, and extended overseas deployments. This role involves hands-on technical engagement, maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational support during sustained deployments lasting 90–120 days, followed by approximately 30 days in CONUS before the next deployment cycle.

You will operate in industrial, austere, and on-water environments—often OCONUS—supporting technical operations, training, integration, and RDTE (Research, Development, Test, & Evaluation) events. OCONUS assignments may include remote or hazardous overseas locations requiring signed consent to deploy. While not typically customer-facing, you may at times work directly with customer personnel and stakeholders during field operations or training events.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
• Technical Expertise: Learn and support mechanical systems onboard unmanned surface vessels and prototype platforms, ensuring their operational readiness and reliability throughout extended deployments.
• Maintenance & Repairs: Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on all mechanical systems, ensuring platforms remain mission-ready during overseas operations.
• System Troubleshooting: Assist Techs and Senior Techs in identifying symptoms, diagnosing issues, and implementing corrective actions under guidance.
• Deployment Support: Participate in recurring 90–120 day overseas deployments, operating in forward environments to directly support fleet exercises, testing campaigns, and maritime operations.
• Operational Flexibility: Work in industrial, maritime, and austere locations, including naval facilities, foreign ports, and on-water environments.
