Circuit of The Americas (COTA) is a 365-entertainment destination for world-class events located in Austin, TX. The sports and entertainment portfolio at COTA is unmatched in the country with Formula 1 US Grand Prix, NASCAR and MotoGP attracting global fans during championship races on the famed Circuit and Live Nation producing over 30 headline concerts every year at the Germania Insurance Amphitheater. COTALAND is an amusement park with over 30 attractions and experiences, including first-of-their-kind roller coasters. 

The Food & Beverage Coordinator is responsible for supporting the daily operation, administration, and operational readiness of assigned Food & Beverage locations throughout the theme park. This position serves as a key connection between Food & Beverage leadership, hourly team members, culinary operations, park operations, and support departments to ensure venues consistently deliver safe, efficient, high-quality food and beverage experiences. 

The Coordinator is a hands-on operational resource who assists with staffing, scheduling, training, inventory, guest service, food safety, cash and POS procedures, administrative reporting, facility readiness, and special events. The position requires an individual who can confidently move between office-based administrative responsibilities and active, guest-facing park operations. 

The ideal candidate is highly organized, solutions-oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and passionate about creating memorable guest experiences while maintaining operational and financial standards. 

Requirements

Requirements & Essential Functions:

• Assist with adjusting operational plans based on park attendance, weather, special events, business levels, and guest demand. 
• Provide hands-on operational support during peak periods, special events, holidays, and other high-volume business periods. 
• Maintain awareness of park-wide operations and collaborate with other departments to resolve operational issues. 
• Assist with onboarding and training of Food & Beverage Team Members. 
• Monitor training progress and assist leadership in identifying additional training needs. 
• Reinforce company standards, operating procedures, guest service expectations, food safety practices, and workplace safety requirements. 
• Serve as an accessible resource for Team Members and assist with questions or operational concerns. 
• Encourage teamwork, accountability, professionalism, and a positive workplace culture. 
• Support leadership with communication of operational updates, policy changes, menu changes, promotions, and special-event information. 
• Recognize and communicate Team Member performance and guest-service opportunities to leadership. 
• Assist management with daily staffing assignments and deployment. 
• Monitor staffing levels against attendance, forecasted business levels, special events, and operational needs. 
• Assist with schedule changes, shift adjustments, call-outs, and coverage needs. 
• Review timekeeping and assist in identifying discrepancies or missing information. 
• Support labor-management initiatives by monitoring operational staffing and productivity. 
• Communicate staffing concerns to the appropriate Food & Beverage leader. 
• Support compliance with all applicable food safety, sanitation, health department, alcohol service, and company requirements. 
• Assist with food safety inspections, corrective actions, documentation, and follow-up. 
• Support proper operation of POS systems and Food & Beverage technology. 
• Maintain organized departmental files and records. 
• Utilize Microsoft Office and other company systems to create reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and documentation. 
• Create or assist with work orders for equipment, facilities, refrigeration, beverage systems, POS equipment, and other operational assets. 
• Identify operational challenges and communicate recommended solutions to Food & Beverage leadership.

• Identifies operational issues, evaluates options, and takes appropriate action.

• Remains effective when business conditions, staffing, weather, attendance, or priorities change. 
• Maintains accuracy in documentation, inventory, cash controls, food safety, and operational procedures. 
• Comfortable learning and utilizing POS, scheduling, inventory, reporting, and other operational systems. 
• Understands the importance of sales, labor, food cost, waste, productivity, and overall profitability. 
• Collaborates effectively across food & beverage and other park departments. 

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. 
• Minimum 1 year previous experience in Food & Beverage, hospitality, restaurant, resort, entertainment, or theme park operations. 
• Strong organizational and time-management skills. 
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operating environment. 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
• Basic to intermediate computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. 
• Ability to work effectively with Team Members, leadership, vendors, and cross-functional departments. 
• Demonstrated commitment to guest service, safety, cleanliness, and operational excellence. 
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, peak seasons, and special events. 
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. 

 Physical Demand & Work Environments:

• Ability to stand, sit, use hands to handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms. 
• Ability to lift and/ or move up to 50 pounds. 
• Ability to squat, bend, twist, push/pull. 
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods. 
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision. 
• Work in extreme environments indoors/outdoors throughout the year. 
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud during events.
