Purpose and Job Summary

Under the direction and supervision of the Senior and Managing Director of Asset Management, the Associate Director oversees a nationwide portfolio of commercial mortgage loans and related investments for ORIX USA’s Real Estate Investment Strategies (REIS) Group. Loan positions managed by the Associate Director are collateralized by commercial income—producing properties and require knowledge across multiple asset classes — including multifamily, senior housing/healthcare, self—storage, commercial, and manufactured housing. Duties are carried out from the Lender/Servicer perspective — ensuring compliance with financial, contractual, and legal requirements, processing Borrower requests, and analyzing and reporting on credit risk. The Associate Director also monitors Borrower performance against business plans, oversees construction draw administration, reporting, and funding, and conduct site inspections.  Although the role centers on loan positions, the Associate Director may be assigned to REO (Real Estate Owned) or equity transactions.
