Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager position drives revenue growth by converting underdeveloped and non-buying Senior Living accounts into active customers. Through proactive prospecting, consultative selling, and data-driven insights, this role builds relationships with key decision-makers and delivers solutions that address customer needs. 

As part of the Sales team, you'll focus on acquiring new business and transitioning converted accounts to the Account Management team for ongoing growth and support. Your efforts will expand Direct Supply's customer base, increase market penetration, and create long-term revenue opportunities. 

What You’ll Do and Impact:  

• Drive new revenue growth by converting underdeveloped and non-buying Senior Living accounts into active customers. 

• Execute proactive phone and digital outreach to generate leads, build sales pipelines, and advance new business opportunities. 

• Build relationships with key decision-makers, including executives, administrators, and purchasing managers, to understand needs and influence purchasing decisions. 

• Recommend products and solutions through consultative selling to address customer challenges and support business objectives. 

• Leverage predictive buying data, analytics, and digital sales tools to prioritize opportunities and improve sales effectiveness. 

• Develop and execute territory growth strategies to increase customer acquisition and adoption of digital sales channels. 

• Collaborate with internal teams to address customer needs and coordinate solutions related to products, financing, safety, and compliance. 

• Transition newly converted accounts to the Account Management team to ensure continuity of customer relationships and ongoing support. 

• Apply knowledge of Senior Living operations, purchasing processes, and budget cycles to identify opportunities and strengthen sales conversations. 

• Monitor prospecting activity, pipeline performance, and conversion results to adjust selling strategies and achieve revenue goals. 

What You’ll Bring: 

• Bachelor's degree. 

• 2+ years of successful sales experience, including prospecting, lead generation, and new business development. 

• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with decision-makers, understand customer needs, and close sales through consultative selling. 

• Experience using digital sales tools and data insights to identify opportunities, prioritize outreach, and manage sales pipelines. 

• Ability to communicate effectively across phone and digital channels, tailoring sales conversations to different customer audiences. 

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing business needs. 

• Ability to collaborate across teams to resolve customer challenges and deliver effective solutions. 

• Flexibility to adjust work schedules to meet customer needs and business priorities.
