Corporate Strategy MBA Intern, Summer 2027

When you join Land O’Lakes as an intern, you are joining a Fortune 250 agribusiness and food production leader with more than 100 years of operations as a farmer- and member-owned cooperative. With business units spanning crop insights, animal nutrition, dairy foods, and sustainability solutions, you will gain a purpose-driven, hands-on internship experience. 

The Corporate Strategy MBA Intern will be based in Arden Hills, MN and takes place for approximately 10 weeks (June – August 2027).  Relocation assistance provided for eligible candidates.  

The Corporate Strategy and Business Development team at Land O’Lakes leads high-profile projects and initiatives sponsored by Land O’Lakes Executive Leadership Team to support enterprise and business unit strategy and growth.  The team serves as trusted, internal consultants across three disciplines – strategy formulation, industry and competitive insights, and M&A – to have a significant impact on the company’s strategy and performance. 

As a Corporate Strategy MBA Intern, you will: 

• Contribute to business-critical projects that will test your ability to think strategically, glean insights from data, and deliver a recommendation to business leadership.  

• Engage in mentorship and professional development programming throughout the summer. 

• Expand your professional network and connect directly with Land O’Lakes senior leadership team. 

• Deliver a final presentation of your project recommendations to business leaders at the conclusion of the summer internship. 

Experience-Education (Required) 

• A current first year MBA student with an expected graduation date of Spring or Summer 2028 

• Track record of outstanding performance while working on high-impact projects and initiatives, including project management experience  

 Competencies-Skills (Required) 

• Curious and Analytical - Intellectually curious with the ability to go beyond surface-level information to seek and understand key insights and business implications; Ability to track down primary/secondary research, analyze data, and synthesize findings   

• Business Acumen - Experience using quantitative and qualitative strategic and financial frameworks to analyze the attractiveness and potential of growth opportunities. Foundational knowledge and exposure to multiple business disciplines (i.e. marketing, supply chain, or finance/accounting)  

• Driven and Results-Oriented - Sense of urgency and flexibility to meet tight deadlines while juggling multiple priorities 

• Strong Collaborator - Team player; Track record of quickly gaining credibility, partnering with business leaders; Able to effectively lead and contribute to cross-functional teams through influence  

• Excellent Communicator - Demonstrated professional confidence, communication and presentation skills when interfacing with executive leadership; Proven ability to articulate business strategies  

• Self-Starter - Must be highly motivated with the ability to work through ambiguity; commitment to consistent, high-quality results  

 Competencies-Skills (Preferred) 

• Previous food and agribusiness experience desirable  

• Prior consulting experience preferred 

The hourly rate for this 10 week internship is $60.00/hour.

Essential Functions/Work Environment:

Hybrid Work Environment; minimum 3 days at Arden Hills, MN: Tuesday – Thursday weekly.
