Automotive Diesel Technician

Description

CMA's Williamsburg Ford | Williamsburg, VA | Full-Time

$43.00 – $58.00 per hour based on experience and certification · Up to $10,000 sign-on and training bonus for qualified Ford Diesel Master Technicians

If you turn wrenches on Power Stroke diesels, you already know the difference between a shop that keeps you busy and one that keeps you guessing. CMA's Williamsburg Ford runs a high-volume Ford service department with steady diesel work, a fully air-conditioned shop, and leadership that came up through the service drive.

We're hiring an experienced Diesel Technician to handle advanced diagnostics and complex repairs on Super Duty and Power Stroke platforms — and to help bring along the technicians coming up behind you.

Requirements

 What You'll Do

• Diagnose and repair 6.7L Power Stroke and other Ford diesel powertrains, including fuel, emissions, aftertreatment and turbo systems
• Run advanced electrical and drivability diagnostics using Ford IDS and FDRS
• Perform warranty, recall and customer-pay repairs to Ford and dealership standards
• Document diagnostics and repairs accurately the first time through
• Mentor apprentice and mid-level technicians on diesel work
• Keep your bay and shared shop areas safe, clean and organized

What You Bring

• Proven diesel experience in a dealership or heavy-duty independent shop
• Ford diesel certifications strongly preferred — we'll pay to finish what you're missing
• Strong diagnostic instincts and a fix-it-right-the-first-time mindset
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Virginia State Inspection License preferred, not required — we'll get you licensed

Why CMA

• Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) — you earn ownership in the company. CMA is one of the few dealership groups in Virginia where technicians are owners, not just employees
• 401(k) with company match
• Medical, dental and vision insurance
• Paid time off and holiday pay
• Tuition reimbursement, plus CMA Academy for leadership development
• Paid manufacturer and on-the-job training
• Employee discounts on vehicle purchases, parts and service
• Paid maternity leave after one year of employment
• Employee Assistance Program and HealthJoy access
• Fully air-conditioned shop with steady diesel volume
