Student - APEX Ambassador

About the Role

Do you remember being a first-year student and trying to navigate UC? Didn’t you wish you had a fellow student to help guide you through the complexities of college life on a new campus? If so, you could make that difference for others as an APEX Ambassador

APEX Ambassadors serve a dual function – supporting first-year students through the APEX advising program and providing peer career advising through the office of Career and Professional Development (CPD). As an Ambassador, you will be embedded in first-year advising courses where you will serve in a TA-like capacity, assisting Academic Advisors/Career Coaches (AACCs) with coursework, facilitating in-class activities, and providing one-on-one and group support to first-year students.

At the same time, you will serve as a peer career advisor within the office of Career and Professional Development, acting as a first point of contact for fellow students navigating career exploration, resume writing, and professional development. Ambassadors develop transferable skills in coaching, communication, data management, and program facilitation that will strengthen their careers after graduation.
